Phuong Nguyen graduated from the Masters of Speech Pathology at The University of Melbourne. Previously, Phuong had completed her Master of Educational Research, Evaluation and Assessment at Flinders University in 2009. Phuong had nearly 15 years working as an ESL instructor overseas before starting her new role as a paediatric Certified Practising Speech Pathologist at a Special Developmental School and various private practices in Melbourne, Victoria. Phuong is a Member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Phuong has a strong passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Selective Mutism, who are late to talk, or have difficulties with speech sounds, language, social skills and literacy. Phuong has extensive experience in working with children with a broad range of communication and learning difficulties, including children with autism, developmental delay, Selective Mutism, stuttering and those with complex communication needs.
Being fluent in both English and Vietnamese and possessing a caring nature has been one of Phuong’s strengths in building great rapport with the child and their family. Phuong strives to deliver holistic care by working closely with culturally and linguistically diverse clients and their families and empowering families in supporting children reach their full communication potential.
Phuong is also committed to ongoing professional development by taking additional training in other areas of interest such as social skills, selective mutism, literacy, language, and speech.
Phuong is available for home and school/kindergarten/childcare visits as well as telehealth consultations. In clinic sessions will be open from 2025.
